The Suzuki Method is not the right fit for all families; not all parents can commit to attending lessons and commit to helping their child practice. In this case BJ combines her background as a Royal Conservatory student with her Suzuki training and uses a combined approach for students. She will still encourage students to listen to the Suzuki CD and try to learn the songs by ear but equal emphasis will be placed on learning to read music. If students prefer not to play classical music BJ is happy to teach them to play popular music as well as jazz.
